About Me

Vocal Coach Clare

Hi, I'm Clare

A passionate and versatile vocal coach based in Malmö, with over 10 years of international teaching experience. I help singers of all levels unlock their potential—whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring professional.

My musical journey spans continents. I hold two bachelor’s degrees in music performance: one in pop/rock singing from Zhejiang University of Media and Communications in China, and another in pop, jazz, and rock from Musikhögskolan i Piteå, Sweden. I also attended a master’s program in opera performance at the University of Szeged in Hungary.

Trained in SLS (Speech Level Singing), EVT (Estill Voice Training), and CVT (Complete Vocal Technique), I combine these systems to create personalized, effective methods for each student. I also have a background in broadcasting and worked as a bilingual radio host, helping singers and speakers develop confident, sustainable vocal use.

At Rockskolan Sverige—one of Sweden’s largest modern music schools—I became a sought-after vocal coach, known for my supportive and empowering teaching style. Many students felt truly seen and inspired in our lessons.

As a singer, I’ve worked with global brands like Disney, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Huawei, BMW, and IKEA—experiences that shaped my stage presence and professionalism.

My Teaching Approach

I believe that learning to sing should be both enjoyable and transformative. My teaching philosophy is built on three core principles:

Health First

“Sing better and healthier” isn’t just a slogan—it’s central to my teaching. Vocal health and comfort always come first, as they’re the foundation for long-term freedom, confidence, and consistency. That said, we’ll still explore powerful techniques—screams, growls, rock effects—if they align with your artistic vision. But never at the cost of your vocal well-being. We’ll build solid technique to support healthy sound, then layer in style, effects, and expression—always with safety and integrity at the core.

Technical Foundation

A solid technique is key to both vocal health and artistic growth. We’ll focus on breath control, support, and healthy habits—then gradually add advanced tools and stylistic techniques aligned with your goals. Most importantly, we’ll explore the unique qualities of your voice and help you develop a sound that’s truly your own.

Creative Expression

Beyond technique, we’ll develop your unique artistic voice—through interpretation, musical style, and expressive delivery. If performing is your goal, we’ll build stage presence with tools like performance simulation, microphone technique, and confidence coaching. You’ll learn to connect emotionally with lyrics and tell compelling stories through song.

My studio is fully equipped for:
